I called while you were out was a project supported by a grant from the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to develop a body of work to be installed in the House at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge. The resulting exhibition was displayed in the House between 27th Sept 2008-11th Jan 2009. The accompanying publication (72 pages, 51 colour images-available from Kettle’s Yard) includes an introduction by Michael Harrison and essays by Paul Coldwell and Ian Hunt.

Work from I called while you were out was later included in Upside down/inside out Kettles Yard 18 July – 27th Sept 2009  an exhibition surveying artist’s interventions in the House over a period of ten years. Other artists included Tim Head, Michael Craig-Martin & Richard Deacon.
