My interest in sculpture is in attempting to make pieces that function as the equivalent to thinking models. Invariably, my sculptural works are small in scale and are intended to address an audience one to one, rather than making grand public statements. Much of this work has been made through casting and I have been able to work within the foundry at every stage of the process from the original wax, through the investment process, to final patination. This enables me to develop and modify the work throughout the process and embrace the unexpected, when appropriate.
